Stop Procrastinating - Start Manifesting

When I first watched The Secret I was so excited and couldn't wait to try this concept of manifesting. I was so ready to change my life for the positive and start making my dreams come true. My excitement soon dissipated and I became frustrated when I saw that sometimes I could make it work and other times I couldn't, what was I doing wrong? Why am I having so much trouble?, I think the universe is against me. It seems to work for other people but I just can't get it right!

I soon found out that while some have had success manifesting by using "The Law of Attraction " concept, approximately 95% of people couldn't make it work for them the first time they tried it. I did some research by scouring forums, blogs and postings and read all I could about other people who practiced "The Law Of Attraction" and couldn't make it work for them. I soon realized that what we all seemed to have in common was that we wanted success too soon, we expected immediate results without investing enough time, we didn't practice enough.

If you think about it, whenever we learn something new we have to practice again and again to become good at it, like the professional guitar player who had to invest time practicing to get it right. Yet, as the old saying goes, "easier said than done", it's hard to stay positive when everything around us is screaming negativity like the current state of the economy, the war in Afghanistan, senseless crimes and poverty.

When you think about these negative events you are in effect affecting "The Law Of Attraction" concept by failing to stay positive. So how can you stay positive and make "The Law Of Attraction" work for you? Follow these simple 3 steps and you will soon find yourself practicing "The Law Of Attraction" and manifesting with confidence and like a pro.

1. Allow Yourself To Receive

Stop constantly sending, (transmitting thoughts) and allow yourself to receive. In other words, stop continuously asking the universe so that the universe can answer and respond. If all your mind is doing is sending out then there is no room for it to receive. Think of your desires, put them out there to the universe and have the confidence in yourself to know that whatever it is you have asked for will be there when the time is right.

2. Be Patient

Again, like the professional guitar player results would never have been achieved without patience. Many people give up too soon because they don't see the results they expected right away. Unfortunately, we live in a "I want it now world" and some people decide that if they can't have it now, then they don't want it.

Then again, there are those who think that if they constantly use their energy asking the universe they will get faster results. This is like trying to cook a turkey in half the time on a higher temperature, the result is a burned, dried out turkey.

Everything in the universe happens in it's own time and there is nothing you can do to speed up the process. So relax and be patient and remember that you too are part of the universe and governed by its laws therefore you cannot change the occurrence of time.

3. Educate Yourself

Anyone who is learning something new needs support, guidance and role models to look up to. Watching "The Secret" 100 times and then deciding it doesn't work is like deciding exercising is not an effective weight loss tool because all you did was walk for an hour a day and then still stuff yourself with fried fatty foods.

So many people think that "The Secret" is the only answer to achieving wealth and happiness, it isn't and never was intended to be the entire answer. The Secret is just one tool (read about the 11 forgotten laws) that can be used to reach your goals and dreams. So educate yourself, seek knowledge and be hungry for it, associate with people and communities that support each other on the same journey. Pay it forward and share any new knowledge you have found with others.

May your manifesting journey be as turbulent has mine as been, just fasten your seat belts and get ready for the ride of your life!

Manifesting Kindness

If there's one thing I have learned at this point in my life it's that whenever you do a kind deed for someone without expecting anything in return you ALWAYS receive kindness in return. I didn't always think this way. I can remember in my late 20's and early 30's thinking why is it that I make a conscience effort to be kind to people and I rarely receive it in return?

It is only now in my late 40's that I realize that the reason I was disappointed with others was because of my negative thinking. I was expecting to receive something in return for my kindness and when I didn't , I subconsciencely projected negative thoughts by thinking "why am I not receiving kindness in return?" Kindness is a natural part of my character now, I project kindness without any motives or expectations and as a result my quality of life is more fulfilling and peaceful. Below is a story about human kindness for you to enjoy, the author is unknown.

I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes.
I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprizing a basket of freshly picked green peas. I paid for my potatoes, but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?' 'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good.' 'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?' 'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.' 'Good. Anything I can help you with?' 'No, Sir. Jus' admirin' them peas.' 'Would you like take some home?' asked Mr. Miller. 'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay foem with.'

'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?' 'All I got's my prize marble here.' 'Is that right? Let me see it' said Miller. 'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.' 'I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked. 'Not zackley but almost.'

'Tell you what. Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble', Mr. Miller told the boy. 'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.' Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me. With a smile said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever.

When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or a orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.' I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man.

A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles. Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died..

They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them. Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer what words of comfort we could. Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very professional looking. They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.

Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket. Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes.

Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her husband's bartering for marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket. 'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size...they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world,' she confided, 'but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho '. With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles.

The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath.

Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~

Why Am I Here? What Is My Life Purpose?

There comes a time in our lives where we find ourselves asking "Why am I here?, what is my life purpose?" This is a question that has been asked since humankind has been able to think, reason and use intellect.

It takes tremendous courage to awaken life's purpose and ask yourself "why am I here?" and even more courage to explore the answer. Asking yourself this all important question can be a very eye opening experience in that it allows us to open our minds and look inside ourselves. To want to know oneself is to want to become at peace with oneself and our environment.

Finding your life purpose can help you live every day with more peace of mind and clarity. I've spent a great deal of time discovering my life's purpose and have come to the conclusion that if we all create a more spiritually harmonious life for ourselves and play an active role in contributing to a more compassionate and peaceful world, we as humans will stop the self -destruction of our planet.

I hope to use this blog to share all the research and resources I have used and continue to use daily to inspire me in awakening my life purpose. May you use these tools to inspire and motivate you on your journey in finding your life's purpose.
